Move it Outside 2012 — Celebrate Outdoor Play on April 25, 2012

Turn off the TV or computer screen and head outdoors on Wednesday, April 25th to celebrate Move it Outside Day. The annual event is held in April/May during National TV Turnoff Week. Schools and youth and community groups throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hold outdoor activities to encourage youth to increase activity levels and reconnect with nature.

Join the 2012 Move it Outside Day celebration by hosting an outdoor activity in your community. Planning a celebration is simple; just follow these three easy steps:

  1. Organize a planning team
  2. Select a celebration event
  3. Publicize your event to students, parents and the community

“Teens from the high school came to our primary school and ran a variety of Frisbee activities including Frisbee baseball, Frisbee golf, Frisbee bocce, and Frisbee bowling. It was a fun, successful day.”
