Todd Christopher

Todd Christopher is a writer, educator, and media producer who celebrates wonder wherever he finds it.

He is the co-founder of the National Wildlife Federation's Green Hour campaign to promote the well-being of kids and families through regular exposure to and interaction with the natural world around them. He is the former director of online media for GreenHour.org and Ranger Rick, Your Big Backyard, and Wild Animal Baby magazines, where his work has been honored by the Association of Educational Publishers.

A lifelong hiker and birder - even though he still can't tell one fall warbler from the next - Todd is the father of a young son and daughter who are tireless berry pickers, leaf jumpers, bug wranglers, and beachcombers, and you often can find him on backyard adventures and hiking trails with his family. He counts shade-grown coffee, well worn guitars, October baseball and the records of Miles Davis and John Coltrane among the finest things in life, and he is terribly uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. The Green Hour: A Daily Dose of Nature for Happier, Healthier, Smarter Kids is his first book.
