International Walk to School Week

In support of International Walk to School Week and Walk to School Day, the Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion has developed nrg Walks, aimed at increasing physical activity and improving pedestrian safety. The one week of easy-to-implement classroom activities includes a school-wide challenge that encourages classroom teachers to get their students walking during International Walk to School Week.

nrgBalance Zone Enrollment

The nrgBalance Zone Campaign is an annual program of the Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion that assists school health leaders with fostering an environment that supports children eating well and being physically active. Enrollment for the 2012/2013 school year will open in March 2012.

Community Outreach

The Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion receives funding to raise awareness among youth and their families about the importance of eating well and being physically active. Please visit the Center at this year's community outreach activities.
